REMINDER - AUG. 16 – 19 CONSTRUCTION TO CAUSE
I-95 CLOSURE AT U.S. 202 INTERCHANGE
Public Advised to Avoid Construction Zone; Use Alternate Routes
Wilmington - The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) is advising the traveling public that I-95 north and southbound at the U.S. 202 Interchange will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday August 16 through 5 a.m. Monday August 19 for the demolition of the existing northbound I-95 to northbound U.S. 202 Bridge Ramp over I-95, and the removal and replacement of two girders on the U.S. 202 Bridge over I-95.
The ramps from U.S. 202 southbound onto I-95 northbound and U.S. 202 northbound onto I-95 southbound will also be closed.
Lane closures will begin at 8:00 p.m., starting with I-95 southbound, north of exit 8. Detours will be in full effect by 9:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, and will remain in effect until 5:00 a.m. Monday, August 19. DelDOT strongly recommends that all non-local (through) traffic utilize I-495 in lieu of I-95.
