Bridge Work Will Require the Weekend Closure of SR 141 Northbound/Basin Road

Public Advised to Avoid Construction & Seek Alternate Routes

WHEN:      8 p.m. on Friday, June 24 until 5 a.m. on Sunday, June 26, pending weather.
WHERE:  SR 141 Northbound/Basin Road  (Bridge over U.S. Route 13)  On-Ramp from U.S. Route 13 Northbound to SR 141 Northbound
WHAT:  DelDOT’s contractor, Mumford & Miller Concrete will be repairing spalls on the bridge deck, which will require the complete closure of SR 141 northbound/Basin Road and the On-Ramp from U.S. Route 13 northbound to SR 141 northbound/Basin Road. The repairs are necessary to limit further deterioration of the bridge deck and may be recurring until a full replacement of the deck is conducted next summer.
Detour: U.S. Route 13 northbound to I-295 northbound to SR 9 northbound (last Exit before the Bridge) to I-295 southbound onto U.S. Route 13 southbound to SR 141 northbound/Basin Road.   Variable message boards will be placed to notify motorists of the upcoming closures.
