Cape May – Lewes Ferry Hosts Brews-By-The-Bay
Tickets Still Available for the June 30th Celebration
(Lewes, DE) Cheers! Come enjoy the incredible beer brewed in the First State. What could be better than sipping on an ice cold beer while you listen to music and take in unparalleled views near the tranquil waters of the beautiful Delaware Bay! Brews-by-the-Bay, a celebration of Delaware’s brewing heritage, will be held at the Lewes Ferry terminal on Saturday, June 30. A Delaware Brewers Guild collaboration beer will be available as well as a collection of each brewery’s finely crafted selections.
“The Lewes terminal of the Cape May – Lewes Ferry is the perfect venue for the Guild’s first ever Brews-by-the-Bay celebration,” said Nikky Fisher, Lewes Operations Supervisor. “Great food, music and the best finely crafted beers you can find. Bring a friend and don’t forget your blanket and lawn chair!”
Summer has arrived and my mouth is starting to water for all the different local beers that will be on tap at Brews by the Bay, which takes place at one of the prettiest water front spots around these parts: The Cape May – Lewes Ferry Terminal in Lewes, Delaware,” said Sam Calagione, founder of Dogfish Head Brewery. “There’s a world-premiere Delaware Brewers Guild collaboration beer pouring as well as a diverse selection of beers from each of the Delaware Breweries. Admission tickets get each festival supporter a souvenir glass and a great variety of the best beer selections in Delaware. The participating breweries include 16 Mile, Dogfish Head, Fordham/Old Dominion, Iron Hill, Stewarts and Twin Lakes. Live music will be provided by Reedo and the Front Porch Offering. Food vendors will include Striper Bites, Bethany Blues, and the Ferry’s “On the Rocks” Bar and Grill.
When: Saturday, June 30 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The event will be held rain or shine. Festival gates open at 3:00 p.m.
Where: Lewes Terminal of the Cape May – Lewes Ferry, 43 Cape Henlopen Drive in Lewes, Delaware
Cost: For New Jersey customers who want to attend the celebration, a special ferry package is available. The cost for an adult is $40, which includes round trip ferry passage and festival admission. A designated driver package is also available for $15. Passengers can take either the 1:45 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. departure from Cape May and return on 7:45 p.m. northbound. Because tickets are limited, reservations are recommended at 800-643-3779.
For Delaware residents, the adult festival admission is $30 if purchased in advance while the designated driver admission is $5. Tickets will be available at the gate for $40. Please visit www.delawarebrewersguild.org for your tickets today!
