(Cape May, NJ) - Boatloads of great live music! Get ready to “Rock the Boat!” this summer aboard the Cape May – Lewes Ferry! Ready those dancing shoes and rock on as the ferry takes the party off dry land with their “Rock the Boat!” cruises this summer. The ferry’s “Rock the Boat!” cruises take place every Friday evening through August 28, 2015.
“Our Rock the Boat cruises started ten years ago and they continue to grow in popularity every year,” says Jennifer Shivers, customer service manager for the Cape May – Lewes Ferry. “Summer is the time to let loose, try new things, and have fun. What better way to get your groove on than on a beautiful cruise across the Delaware Bay – the breeze on your face, and a cold beverage on hand, where you dance the night away with family and friends.”
Aboard the 6:00 p.m. departure from the Cape May Terminal, New Jersey foot passengers will be accompanied by the fresh sounds of TWELVE:01, ONE HOT MESS, or JUMPER. The cruise returns to the Cape May terminal docks at approximately 9:10 p.m.
For over 20 years, Cape May’s own TWELVE:01 has been grinding out original acoustic rock music. ONE HOT MESS is one of New Jersey's Hottest Party bands, playing a wide range of music to make you dance or just plain ROCK OUT! JUMPER was the winner of VH1’s Cover Wars, playing everything from Sinatra to Lady GaGa.
For Delaware foot passengers, the ferry will depart from the Lewes Terminal at 5:15 p.m. with the great music of GLASS ONION for you to enjoy. The cruise will return to the Lewes terminal dock at approximately 8:25 p.m. GLASS ONION, Delaware’s premier rock and roll party band, plays rock and roll dance music at places throughout Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland. A crowd favorite!
