Cape May – Lewes Ferry Schedules Job Fair at the Lewes Terminal
Numerous Seasonal Positions Available at March19 Event
(Lewes, DE) Today, Cape May – Lewes Ferry officials announced that a job fair will be held inside the Lewes Terminal on Saturday, March 19, 2016. The purpose of the job fair, which will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., is to attract qualified applicants for seasonal positions in various departments, including Customer Service, Food & Retail, and Maintenance. During the busy summer season, the Ferry hires more than 250 seasonal employees.
“Over the past few years, we have been able to attract quality candidates through our local job fairs held at the Terminals,” said Heath Gehrke, Director of Ferry Operations. “We have a number of positions available, from our energetic and growing food & beverage staff, to our super customer service agents, to our always-helpful maintenance crew. So if you’re looking for job, come on out and join our team! You just can’t beat a summer job at the Cape May – Lewes Ferry.” Gehrke added that the event is a great opportunity for prospective candidates to apply onsite and interview with our hiring managers
Specific jobs that are currently available include line and prep cooks, food and retail cashiers, customer service representatives, bartenders, porters, servers, warehouse workers and maintenance technicians. Some supervisory seasonal positions are also available.
The job fair will be held inside the Lewes ferry terminal, located at 43 Henlopen Drive in Lewes, Delaware. A welcome table with job listings will be set up and qualified candidates will be invited to meet with hiring managers to be interviewed on the spot. Candidates will be requested to complete applications on-line at the terminal and all job offers are subject to a background check.
