David Park Selected as a Delaware River and Bay Authority Management Analyst
Analyzes Agency Operations and Systems; Evaluates Programs and Projects
(New Castle, DE) Today, Delaware River and Bay Authority officials announced the selection of David Park of Ocean View, Delaware as the agency's new Management Analyst. Mr. Park officially began his duties on June 25, 2012. His wide-ranging responsibilities will include providing guidance in the creation of strategic plans; performing comprehensive review, analysis, and recommendations of critical and/or complex capital programs; preparing analytical, evaluative and statistical studies for use by the Executive Director and management staff across all divisions of the Authority; conducting special research and analysis with staff to aid policy formulation; and monitoring and evaluating programs and project initiatives.
“I appreciate and value executive management's faith in my ability to handle the many responsibilities as its Management Analyst,” Park said. “The focus is much more than crunching and reporting numbers. I believe it’s critically important to analyze these statistics and other relevant information to develop sound management recommendations we can improve the Authority’s operating and financial performance. Prior to joining the Authority, Mr. Park was a Legal and Regulatory Analyst for Downes Associates of Salisbury, Maryland. During his tenure, he managed the development of $20 million landfill gas refinement project. He also designed and supported the implementation of a cohesive net metering program for a municipal utility, including rate design to minimize stranded cost risk.
“David is a versatile, energetic management professional who possesses the right blend of analytical, project management and interpersonal skills to handle the demands of the job,” remarked Scott A. Green, Executive Director for the Authority. “With his varied experiences and proven abilities, David is a great addition to our management team and we’re fortunate to have him.”
Mr. Park has more than 20 years of experience in strategic and venture planning, financial and operating roles across a broad spectrum of industries ranging from regulated utilities to successful software companies.
Mr. Park earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Master of Business Administration from the University of Delaware.
