Delaware River and Bay Authority Selects Senior Manager of Maintenance
Lysander Jones to Manage Six Maintenance Crews at the Delaware Memorial Bridge
(New Castle, DE) Today, Delaware River and Bay Authority officials announced that Lysander ‘Randy’ Jones of Middletown, Delaware was selected as the agency’s new Senior Manager of Maintenance. Mr. Jones officially began his duties on November 19, 2012.
As a Maintenance Senior Manager, Mr. Jones is responsible to manage and lead all maintenance crews based at the Delaware Memorial Bridge, including Buildings and Crafts, Road, HVAC, Structures, Traffic, and Grounds. “I appreciate and value the Authority’s faith in my ability to handle the job of Senior Manager at the Delaware Memorial Bridge,” Randy Jones said. “The Authority is a first-class organization with a highly skilled, motivated maintenance team. With the experience and knowledge I bring to the table, I am eager to work with my team members to make a difference at the Authority. ”
Prior to his selection as a Senior Manager of Maintenance for the Authority, Mr. Jones served as Delaware State University’s Director of Maintenance for nearly seven years. In this role, he was responsible for all facility maintenance activities at the University, including the supervision of maintenance employees, developing and scheduling of preventive maintenance programs, and coordinating maintenance operations with other departments and outside agencies. Randy also worked as the Public Works Manager for the City of Wilmington where he was responsible for CSO maintenance.

In May 1996, Randy began his career as a Facilities Supervisor at the Delaware Solid Waste Authority, supervising maintenance personnel and maintaining all trash to steam equipment at the agency’s In Process Facility in New Castle, Delaware. Mr. Jones also held managerial maintenance roles for Lear Corporation and Speakman Company.
A graduate of Middlesex College in Edison, New Jersey, Mr. Jones earned an Associate of Applied in Mechanical Engineering. In addition, he has obtained numerous certifications, including Facilities Management Operations, SPC, ISO 9001, OHSA Safety Training and Six Sigma.
