Cape May – Lewes Ferry Adds Special Fourth Beer Flight Dinner
Features Fine Food, Ferry Fun, and Craft Selections from River Horse Brewing Co.; Seating Limited

(Cape May, NJ) Get ready to tempt your taste buds once again! The first three beer lovers’ dinners at the Ferry terminal in Cape May were so popular that a fourth has been added by popular demand! Enjoy a full-course dinner complete with River Horse Brewing Company’s specially crafted selections on April 10, 2015 when the Cape May-Lewes Ferry hosts the final beer dinner for the 2015 season. This unique dinner and beer pairing delight will be held inside the gorgeous Sunset Lounge on the second floor of the Cape May Ferry Terminal. The cost for the all-inclusive dinner, which begins with the Chef’s Selection of Hors d’ oeuvres at 5:30 p.m., is $50 per person.

“Our beer pairing dinners received rave reviews,” said Kevin Cliggett, Cape May Terminal Manager. “Our customers have really enjoyed these events and the discussions of the craft beer selections. Given the customer demand for these specialty events, hosting a fourth beer dinner featuring another South Jersey craft brewery was an easy decision. It’s an event you definitely won’t want to miss!”

The Ferry Beer Flight dinners are beer’s equivalent to wine tastings. The focus of the Beer Flight Dinners is both to showcase Cape May Terminal as a special event venue and to help promote the regional craft brewing industry.

Festivities kick off at 5:30 PM with a reception, including Chef's Selection of Hors d' oeuvres with “cocktail" tastings of River Horse Brewing Company’s IPA and River Horse Special. The reception is followed by House Cured Gravlax, Spring Radish Salsa and the salad course featuring Curly Endive & Arugula with warm bacon dressing. Both the appetizer and salad courses are paired with River Horse Lager.

The Entrée includes Veal Schnitzel (Holstein) with warm potato salad and broccoli rabe paired with Tripel Horse Ale.

To conclude the dinner, enjoy Chocolate Mousse paired with River Horse Chocolate Porter. Cliggett added that a River Horse Brewing Co. representative will attend the April 10 event to discuss the various beer styles served at the dinner.

Due to limited capacity and anticipated popularity of the event, reservations are required. To reserve, please contact our Guest Services Department at 1-800-643-3779 (FERRY) during the 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday.

The River Horse Brewery Beer Dinner is the last in a series of four “Ferry Beer Flight Dinners” that began in January. In addition to River Horse Brewing Co., the other participating craft breweries for the Ferry Beer Flight Dinners included Cape May Brewing Company, Tuckahoe Brewery, and Flying Fish Brewing Company.
