Cape May – Lewes Ferry Schedules Second Job Fair at the Lewes Terminal
Numerous Seasonal Positions Available at April 25 Event
(Lewes, DE) Today, Cape May – Lewes Ferry officials announced that a second job fair will be held inside the Lewes Terminal on Saturday, April 25, 2015. The purpose of the job fair, which will take place between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., is to attract qualified applicants for seasonal/casual positions in various departments, including Customer Service, Food & Retail, and Maintenance. During the busy summer season, the Ferry hires more than 250 seasonal employees.
“We’re very pleased with the turn-out for our first job fair in March, but we still have a number of seasonal opportunities available,” said Heath Gehrke, Director of Ferry Operations. “If you’re looking for job, come on out and join our team! You just can’t beat a summer job at the Cape May – Lewes Ferry.” Gehrke added that the event is a great opportunity for prospective candidates to speak with our hiring managers and apply onsite.
The Cape May – Lewes Ferry has a full time opening for an Applications Administrator in the ITS Department. The position is responsible for first-level IT support at the Lewes Terminal and also plans for workstations replacement, inventory and equipment distribution management, printer service and deployment, troubleshooting, and providing assistance to the Database Analysts and System Managers.
The Ferry also has numerous seasonal positions currently available, including bus drivers, food and retail associates, line and prep cooks, servers, customer service representatives, bartenders, porters, servers, warehouse workers and maintenance technicians. Some supervisory seasonal positions are also available.
The job fair will be held inside the Lewes ferry terminal, located at 43 Henlopen Drive in Lewes, Delaware. A welcome table with job postings will be set up and qualified candidates will meet with hiring managers to be interviewed on the spot. Candidates will be able to complete applications on-line at the terminal and are subject to a background check.
