Cape May – Lewes Ferry’s Popular “On the Rocks” Dockside Grills Open for Summer Season
Waterfront Locations to Feature Local Craft Beers; New Menu Selections

(Cape May, NJ) Today, Cape May – Lewes Ferry (CMLF) officials announced that the “On the Rocks (OTR) waterfront eateries located at the water’s edge at both the Cape May and Lewes ferry terminals are open for the summer season. Both OTR locations are now open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. After Memorial Day, these outdoor waterfront locations will be open daily.

Some new menu selections are available at both “On the Rocks” dockside grill locations as well as returning favorites. “We are excited to open up our signature outdoor locations,” said Shaun O’Brien, Superintendent of Food and Retail. “Our dockside grills in Cape May and Lewes are the perfect place to watch the ferry vessels come and go or simply take in the beauty of the Delaware Bay while enjoying a juicy burger or fresh seafood. Our customers expect a great experience here at the Ferry and we want the dining experience to help us exceed those expectations.”

In both Cape May & Lewes, the savory appetizers include grilled wings, Maryland crab dip with house made corn tortilla chips, macaroni & cheese bites, tiki coconut shrimp, fresh cooked ferry chips, black bean corn salsa, and our special crab fries (French fries smothered in our traditional warm crab dip). The gourmet entrees include fish & chips, grilled chicken sandwich, shrimp po boy, and the best burger selection on the Delaware Bay. A variety of salad combinations and a soup of the day are also available.

On a rotating basis, local craft beers will be available on tap – including Cape May, Ludlam Island, 7 Mile, and Slacktide in New Jersey while Evolution, 16 Mile and Dogfish Head are featured in Delaware. Both dockside grills will also offer several signature summer cocktails, including Orange Crush, Grapefruit Crush, Creamsicle Crush, Cotton Candy Kiss, American Mule, and other specialty selections.
