Cape May – Lewes Ferry Sponsors Return of “Rock the Boat” Cruises
Departs Every Friday Evening from both Cape May and Lewes this summer
CAPE MAY, NJ- Boatloads of great live music! Get ready to “Rock the Boat” this summer aboard the Cape May – Lewes Ferry! Put your dancing shoes on and rock on as the ferry takes the party off dry land with their “Rock the Boat” cruises this summer. The ferry’s “Rock the Boat” cruises depart from both sides of the Delaware Bay every Friday, beginning on July 6, 2018 through August 31, 2018.
“We’re excited to be able to offer our special “Rock the Boat” cruises again this summer,” said Jennifer Shivers, Assistant Director of Business Operations for the Cape May – Lewes Ferry. “Summer is the time to kick back, try new things, and have fun. What better way to achieve all three than on a beautiful cruise along the Delaware Bay, where you dance the night away with family and friends. Come join us to Rock the Boat!”
Departing the Cape May Terminal: Aboard the 6:00 p.m. departure, New Jersey foot passengers will be accompanied by the fresh sounds of Moe Fishbone, Jumper or Twelve:01. The cruise returns to the Cape May terminal docks at approximately 9:00 p.m.
Moe Fishbone (July 6, August 17, and August 31): The South Jersey party band, Moe Fishbone started as a group of electronic technicians working the graveyard shift at the Post Office. The group not only has a wide range of rock hits, but also fast and lively pop and party songs that were made to move to.
Twelve:01 (July 13, July 27, and August 24): Performing together for over 20 years, Cape May locals Twelve:01 continue to cultivate their distinct sound. Twelve:01 play original acoustic pop/rock music that promise a unique and meaningful listening experience. For more information:
Jumper (July 20 and August 3): The five man band Jumper promises to have concert goers jumping to their feet with their upbeat performances. Winners of VH1’s Cover Wars, Jumper provides a diverse set list that includes hits from a variety of genres and decades.
Leaving the Lewes Terminal: For Delaware foot passengers, the ferry will depart at 5:15 p.m. with the great music of Glass Onion for you to enjoy. The cruise will return to the Lewes terminal dock at approximately 8:15 p.m.
Glass Onion (Every Friday): Delaware’s Premier Rock & Roll party band. They started playing together in 2000 and perform R&B and Rock & Roll Dance music at venues throughout Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
The cost is $18.00 for ages 14 and older, $14.00 for seniors and military, $9.00 for ages 6 to 13. Children 5 years or younger board free.
