Cape May – Lewes Ferry Offers Special Cruise to Nowhere
Features Delaware’s Premier Rock ‘n Roll Party Band, Glass Onion
Lewes, Del. – Summer fun continues at the Cape May – Lewes Ferry! Enjoy the sights of the Delaware Bay and sweet sounds of Glass Onion aboard the Ferry’s Cruise to... Nowhere! On Saturday, September 15, 2018, a special, three-hour evening cruise on the Delaware Bay, featuring Delaware's premier Rock 'N Roll party band, departs from the Lewes Ferry terminal. The ferry vessel departs the Lewes Terminal at 6:30 p.m. and returns to the Lewes terminal dock at approximately 9:30 p.m.
“Summer fun doesn’t end after Labor Day weekend at the Cape May – Lewes Ferry,” said Jennifer Shivers, Assistant Director of Operations at the Ferry. “Come join us for boatloads of great music as we take the party off dry land onto the beautiful Delaware Bay. And, don’t forget to wear your dancing shoes for this three hour cruise!”
Delaware’s Premier Rock & Roll party band, Glass Onion, began playing together in 2000, performing R&B and Rock & Roll dance music at venues throughout Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania. September is a great time to kick back, try something different, and have fun. Guests on this ferry cruise can have it all on a relaxing bay voyage – dancing the night away with family and friends. The live music will be located on the vehicle deck with additional entertainment being planned throughout the vessel.
Depending on the weather, guests may want to bring along a light jacket for when the sun goes down. Sneakers, secure sandals, or flats are recommended over flip flops or other slip-on footwear.
Free parking is available at the terminal. Cars left overnight should be registered at the ticket counter or with the DRBA police after hours. Food and beverages are available for purchase while on board. No alcohol may be carried on board.
The cost for the cruise is $25 person for adults 14 years of age or older. The event is rain or shine. Tickets, which include foot passenger passage and entertainment, are non-refundable. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit www.cmlf.com/cruise2nowhere.
