Cape May – Lewes Ferry Earns TripAdvisor Hall of Fame Certificate
Gains Hall of Fame status with five consecutive years of Certificate of Excellence ratings
CAPE MAY, NJ – Today, Cape May – Lewes Ferry officials announced that the Delaware Bay ferry service has been recognized as a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence “Hall of Fame” recipient. The Certificate of Excellence “Hall of Fame” award celebrates excellence in hospitality and is given only to businesses, attractions, and accommodations that consistently achieve great traveller reviews over five consecutive years.
“It is an honor to be inducted into the Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame,” said Terry Anstead, Customer Service Manager for the Cape May – Lewes Ferry. “Ferry team members in every department are focused on the customers’ needs and the goal is to exceed the customers’ expectations every day. We are grateful to all who have reviewed us on TripAdvisor and to our loyal and dedicated customers.”
“TripAdvisor is excited to announce the recipients of the 2019 Certificate of Excellence “Hall of Fame”, which for nearly a decade has celebrated businesses that have consistently received positive ratings from travelers and diners on the world’s largest travel platform,” said Neela Pal, Vice President of Brand, TripAdvisor. “This recognition allows us to publicly recognize businesses that are actively taking into account customer feedback to help travelers confidently experience the most highly reviewed places to eat, stay, and explore.”
The Hall of Fame award positions the Ferry in the top 10% of all travel and hospitality sites monitored by Trip Advisor worldwide.
In 2011, TripAdvisor initiated the Certificate of Excellence program, designed to recognize businesses who receive consistent positive reviews on TripAdvisor’s site in a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months. To earn the coveted “Hall of Fame” designation, a business must have been a Certificate of Excellence recipient for the past five consecutive years.
Anstead noted that because the Hall of Fame Certificate is based on guests’ reviews, it’s the ultimate seal of approval and a testament to the caliber of service that guests receive from the Cape May – Lewes Ferry team. “To celebrate the achievement and thank employees for their dedication and hard work, Cape May – Lewes Ferry management has arranged for food trucks to be on-site at each terminal to serve lunch to the employees in the near future,” Anstead noted.
