DRBA Closes Freeman Highway for Concrete Work
One Day Closure to Take Place on Tuesday, May 11, 2010
(Lewes, DE) Today, Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) officials announced that the Freeman Highway Bridge in Lewes, Delaware, will be closed all day Tuesday, May 11, 2010, for concrete deck placement work. Weather permitting, the contractor, Mumford & Miller of Middletown, Delaware, will be placing the new latex-modified concrete overlay on the Bridge.
The closure will start on Monday, May 10 at 10:00 p.m. and continue until Wednesday, May 12 at 7:00 a.m. During this closure, barricades with ‘Road Closed’ will be placed at both intersections and adjacent to the barrier wall on both ends of the bridge. The detour shall be Monroe Avenue/Kings Highway to Savannah Road to Cape Henlopen Drive.
