Will the DRBA continue to offer discounts on the Delaware Memorial Bridge?
Yes. The current discount plans will continue to be available to motorists, but you must sign up to be eligible for a discount. Essentially, your E-ZPass tag is an “electronic ticket book."

Will I have to use E-ZPass to receive a discount?
Yes. The customer must open an account with either the DRBA or another E-ZPass toll agency, such as the Regional Consortium, that has agreed to program the DRBA discount plans. (Note: Details have not been finalized.)

Will I get any discount for using E-ZPass if I do not enroll in the DRBA discount program?
No. Discounts are based on volume use and not on the possession of any E-ZPass tag, which simply allows the motorist the convenience of moving through the toll plaza more quickly.

Will commercial vehicles be eligible for a discount plan?
No. There are no plans to offer discounts to commercial vehicles. The Authority believes that the $3.00-per-axle rate provides an attractive discount to all of our important commercial vehicle customers.

How will the discount program work?
• The current ticket books in use will be discontinued. Only Class 1 vehicles of Private Account holders will be eligible for the
discount programs.
• A commuter will be charged $18.75 upon opening an account with the DRBA. (Note: This will be in addition to the $25 account balance fee.) A Frequent Traveler will be charged an additional $20.
• The discount program will be assigned to a tag, and not to an account, which may have up to four tags.
• The account will automatically be recharged another $18.75 (Commuter) or $20.00 (Frequent Traveler) as soon as 25 trips or 30 days occur (Commuter) and 20 trips or 90 days occur (Frequent Traveler). Therefore, the discount program’s automatic renewals are based on either the number of crossings or the number of days, whichever threshold is reached first.

Will Senior Citizens receive a discount?
Both Commuter and Frequent Traveler program customers will continue to receive a discount, and Senior Citizens will continue to be eligible to enroll in either of these programs. All tickets will be phased out. Since an account is automatically replenished with a credit card, senior citizens will no longer be able to come to the Information Center to receive credit for unused tickets. Any Private Account holder who desires to extend the length of the 30-day Commuter period may do so by submitting a request in writing. The minimum extension period will be seven days. Frequent Traveler periods (90 days) cannot be extended.

If I already have an account with another toll agency, will I be eligible for the DRBA discount program?
This is still under discussion, but tentatively, yes, if your account is with one of the neighboring agencies that has programmed the DRBA discount plan including, most likely, the Regional Consortium. You will have to enroll in the DRBA’s discount program through your own Customer Service Center. (Note: The DRBA will be required to pay each agency that programs the Authority’s discount plans; therefore, not all agencies have been requested nor are they necessarily willing to offer the DRBA discounts to their customers.)

Can a customer temporarily disenroll from his/her DRBA discount plan?
Yes, but only a Commuter. This “disenrollment" must be requested a minimum of 24 hours in advance and will be for a minimum of seven days. In essence, the 30-day period, applicable to the particular discount plan, simply gets extended by the seven or more days. Specific “rules" regarding this customer service for Commuters will be included in the E-ZPass application, which will be available in early June.

Can a customer move a tag from one vehicle to another?
No, since each tag is assigned to a specific vehicle.

Can a group receive more than one tag for the same account?
Yes, up to four tags can be assigned to a specific Private Account. Business Accounts may have an unlimited number of tags.

Can the overall account receive a discount?
No. Discount plans, which are based on the volume use of the Delaware Memorial Bridge, are assigned to individual tags and not collectively to the overall Private Account, which may have up to four tags.

Will I receive receipts if I use E-ZPass?
No. However, your monthly or bimonthly statement will provide the detailed toll transaction information that should be suitable for travel reimbursement purposes.

How often will I receive a statement of my account?
You will be able to access your account information at any time using the Customer Service Center website www.EZPASSDRBA.com. During the first six months you will automatically receive a detailed monthly statement from the Transportation Service Center. Thereafter, you will receive a statement every two months unless you request to continue receiving a monthly statement. There may be a small service charge for these additional monthly statements. If you have any questions regarding your account statements, you will be able to call a DRBA Customer Service Representative, who will address your inquiry.

What if my tag is lost or stolen?
If your tag is lost or stolen, report it immediately to the Customer Service Center. The tag will then be deactivated. You will not be responsible for any charges incurred after you report a lost or stolen tag. You will, however, be liable for toll charges incurred prior to notification. You will also be responsible for paying the full cost of the tag, $22.50 or $28.55 depending on the type of tag. Upon request,
a new tag will be issued to you. If you are still concerned about safeguarding your tag, you may wish to take the E-ZPass tag with you when it is not in use. The self-adhesive strips allow for easy removal and installation.

What do I do if I am issued a new credit card?
You must immediately notify the DRBA Customer Service Center if a new credit card has been issued or the same card has received a new expiration date. This notification is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that his/her automatic account replenishment continues to occur as required.
