The Delaware River and Bay Authority operates and maintains the New Castle Airport, the
Civil Air Terminal, and the Delaware Airpark in Delaware and the Cape May and Millville Airports in New Jersey. The Authority is maintaining and enhancing these airport facilities to meet the demands associated with the airport industry as well as ensuring safe and reliable operations. In order to maintain a high and safe level of public service, we must continue to protect our investment as well as the public we serve through an effective and prudent Airport Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The projects will be carried out in several phases and in concert with established Airport Layout Plans, Master Plans, environmental and economic development considerations and in some cases, funding from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). These facilities are designed to provide the public with safe and efficient means of transportation as well as providing economic development opportunities in the region. The implementation of this CIP will assure that the public continues to enjoy quality transportation services in a safe and efficient manner. In light of recent world events, security considerations at all of our airport facilities remains important. The following information provides brief descriptions of each project as part of the Five Year Airport CIP.
