The dispatcher coordinates radio and telephone communications and professionally dispatches police officers at the Delaware Memorial Bridge in conformity with established Authority and departmental policy. He/she retrieves data from the DELJIS/NCIC/NLETS database(s) and relays that information in conformity with established policy. He/she tracks, monitors and coordinates the activity of on-duty officers. He/she serves as a first-line representative of the Authority by assisting the public and co-workers at the Delaware Memorial Bridge using interpersonal communications skills either in person, by radio or by telephone. He/she operates telecommunications equipment including, but not limited to, radios, fax, copiers, telephone, CAD computer, System 2000 computer, personal computers, recorders and DELJIS/NLETS/NCIC computer.
