Security Officer – Cape May Lews Ferry (CMLF) is responsible for providing general security and safety services, making notifications, and supporting the police operations at the CMLF as assigned. Security Officers are not sworn law enforcement officers.

Marine Unit

The primary purpose of the marine patrol unit is to provide for security and safe operation of the ferry and security of the Delaware Memorial Bridge and safe operation of the Three Forts Ferry. However, members, when made aware of violations of state law, should take proper enforcement action including arrest, if necessary.

Motorcycle Unit
 

Assigned members concentrate on pro-active policing assignments, such as radar enforcement, aggressive driving, preventing traffic collisions, crime prevention, disabled motor vehicles, escorts and traffic control.
