Delaware River and Bay Authority Begins Construction on New Concession Area at Wilmington Airport (ILG)
NEW CASTLE, Del. - Today, the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) officials announced the commencement of construction for a new food, beverage, and retail concession area at Wilmington Airport (ILG). Operating under the name Sky+Go, the new amenity, which will be located inside the recently expanded terminal passenger gate area, is designed to enhance the travel experience for passengers departing the airport.
"We’re thrilled to partner with Sky+Go and break ground on this new concession space, which represents a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to improve passenger amenities and create economic opportunities at Wilmington Airport," said Benjamin Clendaniel, Director of Airport Operations at the DRBA. "As passenger traffic continues to grow, providing high-quality, convenient food, beverage, and retail options in our gate area is essential to delivering an exceptional customer experience."
The DRBA Board of Commissioners unanimously approved Contract ILG-26-03 with BSS Contractors, LLC of West Grove, PA to construct and outfit the concession space with the capabilities to serve hot foods, coffee, chilled beverages, cold foods and including bar seating. The construction cost is $386,000.
The DRBA Board also unanimously passed Resolution 26-41 at its September 15, 2026 monthly meeting, authorizing a five-year lease and operating agreement with Heart Full of Soul, LLC, d/b/a Sky+Go. The agreement has two additional renewal options for one year each. Sky+Go was selected through a competitive Request for Proposals process based on product offering, service, pricing, and quality. As part of the agreement, Sky+Go will pay the Authority a rental fee and sales commissions throughout the term.
Construction and outfitting of the new concession space is expected to proceed immediately under BSS Contractors, LLC, with Sky+Go opening for business upon completion.
