PUBLIC NOTICE
The Delaware River and Bay Authority Police Department is scheduled for a site-based assessment as part of a program to achieve its 9th CALEA re-accreditation by verifying that it meets nationally recognized professional standards. The assessment is scheduled for July 28th-31st, 2025.
Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-art standards in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support services.
Access to the CALEA standards can be obtained by CALEA Standards for Law Enforcement Agencies. As a part of the assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments via the public access portal located at Delaware River and Bay Authority Public Comment Portal.
Anyone wishing to submit written comments about the Delaware River and Bay Authority Police Department’s ability to comply with the standards for accreditation may send them to CALEA at the following address:
