DRBA Announces 4th Annual Community Job Fair at Route 9 Library

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to providing meaningful access to careers that offer stability and growth.

NEW CASTLE, Del. Following the success of previous recruitment efforts that connected hundreds of local residents with career opportunities, the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) is proud to announce its 4th Annual Community Job Fair. The event will take place on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the New Castle Route 9 Library and Innovation Center, located at 3022 New Castle Avenue.

Building on the momentum of last year’s event, which welcomed approximately 200 job seekers, this year’s fair continues the DRBA’s mission to act as a bridge between local talent and the diverse professional opportunities available within the Authority.

Attendees will have the unique opportunity to engage directly with representatives from several key departments, including Maintenance, Tolls, Airports, and the DRBA Police. Whether a candidate is interested in skilled trades, public safety, or airport operations, the fair is designed to provide a firsthand look at the vital roles that keep the region’s transportation infrastructure running smoothly.

To make the experience interactive and informative, job seekers will receive a "career card" to be stamped at each departmental booth. Completed cards will enter participants into a raffle for exciting prizes, including organization merchandise and travel-related rewards. Each booth will also feature dedicated QR codes, allowing candidates to view specific job descriptions and apply directly via the DRBA careers page on their mobile devices.

The annual job fair is made possible through a sustained partnership between the DRBA, New Castle County, and New Castle County Libraries. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to providing meaningful access to careers that offer stability and growth.

"The partnership between the Route 9 Library and the Delaware River and Bay Authority reflects our shared commitment to uplifting the community through meaningful access, opportunity, and connection," said Sherita Copeland, DRBA’s Senior Human Resources Specialist- Recruitment. "Together, we’re not only enhancing recruitment efforts—we're helping local residents envision new career pathways and build brighter futures."

The DRBA invites all motivated individuals from the New Castle area and beyond to attend. The Authority’s Human Resources Department will be on-site to help navigate the application process and discuss the competitive benefits and rewarding environment offered to DRBA employees.

Those unable to attend the event in person are encouraged to explore all current openings and apply online at the official DRBA careers page: www.drba.net/careers.
