Cape May - Lewes Ferry Reintroduces Popular Zoo Excursion Package

CAPE MAY, NJ – After a brief hiatus, the Cape May-Lewes Ferry is thrilled to announce the return of its popular Zoo excursion package for the Fall 2025 season. Combining a relaxing bay cruise with an unforgettable visit to the Cape May County Park and Zoo, this family-friendly day trip is an exciting addition to the ferry's fall schedule.

"The Cape May County Park and Zoo is a world-class attraction, and our excursion package makes it easier than ever for families to enjoy a day of discovery. With over 550 animals and a beautiful park setting, it's the perfect fall outing for all ages." 

Information 
The excursion package, available on select Mondays, includes round-trip foot passage on the ferry, shuttle transportation to and from the zoo, and admission to the renowned Cape May County Park and Zoo. The zoo boasts over 250 species of animals, birds, and reptiles amidst gorgeous gardens and foliage, along with a playground and food options available for purchase. 

The excursion will be offered on the following Mondays: September 8th, September 22nd, and October 6th, 2025. The ferry departs from Lewes at 8:45 a.m. and returns from Cape May at 6:00 p.m., arriving back in Lewes at 7:25 p.m. 

Reservations 
The cost for the all-inclusive package is $30 for ages 14 and older, $17 for children ages 6 to 13, and $12 for children under 6.  Reservations are strongly recommended due to a 32-passenger limit on the shuttle. Handicap-accessible shuttle service is available with notification required at the time of booking.
