American Airlines’ Landline Luxury Motorcoach Service Records Major Milestone at Wilmington Airport (ILG)
NEW CASTLE, DE – Today, Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) officials announced that American Airlines’ connecting service from Wilmington Airport (ILG) to Philadelphia International (PHL), operated by the Landline Company, has now handled more than 20,000 passengers since the luxury motorcoach service began just over a year ago.
Since October 7, 2024, travelers have enjoyed the ease and convenience of checking in and clearing TSA security through the airport’s user-friendly terminal building, boarding a luxury motorcoach, and arriving at their gate at PHL.
“The Landline partnership has been a great addition to ILG and complements commercial air service provided by Avelo,” said DRBA Director of Airport Operations Ben Clendaniel. “The region enjoys access to over 100 destinations in American Airlines’ network and over a dozen non-stop destinations offered by Avelo Airlines.”
Here are the highlights:
- A “tarmac-to-tarmac” luxury motorcoach service to American Airlines’ hub in PHL.
- The luxury motorcoaches feature 35 premium leather seats with ample leg room, free Wi-Fi and in-seat power at every seat.
- Customers can earn and redeem AAdvantage® miles.
- Customers can book their flight through American Airlines’ website or mobile app, entering ILG as origin and selecting the destination (i.e. MIA) as the endpoint, just like a flight itinerary.
“We are pleased to offer a convenient and hassle-free travel experience at ILG, where you can park for only $11.50 per day, just steps away the terminal,” stated Clendaniel.
